Staff registration & assignment terms.
What applies when you register with us, and when you accept an assignment.
Last updated: 9 September 2026
These Terms apply when you register with Behaviour Shift Promotional Agency Ltd (“Behaviour Shift”, “we”, “us” or “our”) and when you accept assignments through us.
Behaviour Shift intends to engage promotional personnel as self-employed contractors under a contract for services, subject to applicable UK law.
By registering, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms.
1. Registration & work
Registering with Behaviour Shift does not guarantee work.
You are free to accept or decline any assignment offered to you.
Each booking will be confirmed separately and will include relevant details such as the role, location, dates, hours, rate, dress requirements and campaign brief.
Once you accept an assignment, you are expected to honour that booking and meet the agreed requirements.
We select teams according to the needs of the client, campaign, audience and environment.
2. Professional standards
When working on a Behaviour Shift assignment, you must:
- arrive on time, prepared and ready to work;
- follow the agreed brief and reasonable on-site instructions;
- maintain a professional appearance and comply with any agreed uniform requirements;
- behave professionally and respectfully towards clients, colleagues, venue staff and members of the public;
- remain engaged throughout the assignment;
- not attend work under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs;
- not engage in discriminatory, abusive, intimidating, harassing or inappropriate behaviour; and
- immediately report any issue which may affect the safe or successful delivery of the assignment.
Mobile phones
Personal mobile phone use is not permitted while actively working, except during authorised breaks or in an emergency.
Phones may be used where required for work-related communication, reporting, data capture, photography or another authorised purpose.
Repeated inappropriate phone use may result in no further assignments being offered.
3. Attendance & cancellations
Once an assignment is accepted, Behaviour Shift and the client will rely on you to attend.
If illness or an emergency prevents you from attending, you must contact Behaviour Shift as soon as reasonably possible.
Repeated late cancellations, unexplained absence or persistent lateness may result in no further assignments being offered.
4. Pay & invoicing
Your rate will always be confirmed before you accept an assignment.
After completing the work, you must submit a valid invoice to sammi@behaviourshift.com.
Invoices must be submitted within 7 days of completing the assignment.
Approved invoices will be paid by bank transfer within 30 days of receipt of a valid and approved invoice.
Invoices should include your name or trading name, invoice number, assignment details, dates and hours worked, agreed rate, total due and bank details.
Any expenses must be authorised in advance unless otherwise stated in the assignment brief.
Behaviour Shift will pay for work properly completed in accordance with the agreed assignment terms.
5. Self-employed status & tax
Behaviour Shift intends to engage you as a self-employed independent contractor under a contract for services.
You are responsible for your own Income Tax, National Insurance and other applicable tax obligations.
You are responsible for maintaining appropriate records and making any required declarations to HM Revenue & Customs.
Registration does not create an obligation for Behaviour Shift to provide work, nor an obligation for you to accept work.
Nothing in these Terms overrides any employment, worker or tax status which may apply under UK law based on the actual circumstances of an assignment.
6. Right to work
You must have the legal right to undertake work in the United Kingdom.
You agree to provide genuine and current documents or information reasonably required by Behaviour Shift.
You must tell us if your right to work changes.
7. Confidentiality, social media & client property
Information relating to Behaviour Shift, its clients, campaigns, products or commercial arrangements must be kept confidential where appropriate.
You must not post confidential or unreleased campaign material on social media without permission.
Any uniform, passes, equipment, stock, samples or other property supplied for an assignment must be looked after and returned when requested.
8. Data protection
Where an assignment involves collecting personal information, you must follow Behaviour Shift's and the client's data-protection instructions.
Information collected during an assignment must not be copied, retained, shared or used for your own purposes.
Behaviour Shift will process your own personal information in accordance with its privacy policy.
9. Health, safety & respect
You must follow reasonable health and safety instructions and report accidents, hazards or concerns immediately.
Behaviour Shift will not tolerate discrimination, harassment, bullying, intimidation or inappropriate behaviour.
If you experience inappropriate behaviour during an assignment, you should report it to Behaviour Shift.
10. Client approaches
If a Behaviour Shift client approaches you directly regarding work connected with an introduction, booking or campaign arranged by Behaviour Shift, you must notify us.
You must not deliberately bypass Behaviour Shift in relation to an existing Behaviour Shift assignment or campaign.
11. Removal & future work
Behaviour Shift may remove someone from an assignment or stop offering future work where there are reasonable grounds, including serious misconduct, dishonesty, repeated non-attendance, inappropriate behaviour, breach of confidentiality, failure to follow a brief or legitimate health, safety or reputational concerns.
12. General
Behaviour Shift may update these Terms where reasonably necessary. Updated terms will be provided where required.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Nothing in these Terms removes any statutory legal right which cannot lawfully be excluded.
